ABOUT STEFANIE VALAKAS APD
LEADING CERTIFIED FERTILITY DIETITIAN & NUTRITIONIST
2021 DIETITIAN OF THE YEAR FINALIST
FOUNDER OF THE DIETOLOGIST
STEFANIE IS AN ACCREDITED PRACTISING DIETITIAN & NUTRITIONIST AND THE DIRECTOR OF THE DIETOLOGIST, A 100% VIRTUAL NUTRITION PRACTICE.
She helps people (just like you!) take control of their lifestyle and transform their diet to improve their fertility and health.
Stefanie started her journey into reproductive health and fertility nutrition after beginning work as a dietitian in children's nutrition, learning how to support optimal growth, development and health in children by creating healthy habits and a balanced relationship with food right from the start of their lives.
THEN SHE DISCOVERED THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION BEGINS FAR BEFORE A CHILD IS BORN...
In her work with children, Stefanie learned about the importance of early life nutrition, which spans the first 1,000 days of life from the 3-6 months before a child is even conceived (when the egg and sperm are maturing inside the parents), until a child's second birthday.
What children eat, drink and are exposed to from the time they were just two cells, to the time they are asking, "But why, Mamma?" after every sentence, can literally change the way your child's genetics are being read and expressed, and even affect their risk of chronic health conditions in later life, such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, allergies and eczema.
And it all begins with parents nourishing themselves well in advance of their conception journey.
BEING A RESPONSIBLE PARENT BEGINS WELL BEFORE YOU'RE BRINGING BABY INTO THE WORLD...
Stefanie delved into the research, learning that making just a few simple (but effective) dietary changes in the months leading up to conception can have a significant impact on fertility success, by about 69%! Pretty mind-blowing, right?
She decided to focus on areas of fertility, reproductive health and nutrition, to help parents and children alike live the healthiest, happiest lives possible using evidence-based dietary and lifestyle strategies to transform people's lives.
In fact, all these dietary strategies and more are covered in her 4-week online program, The Waiting Game, which has now helped over 350 people upgrade their fertility nutrition.
Today, Stefanie also works with those struggling with various hormonal concerns including endometriosis, PCOS, menstrual cycle irregularity, hypothalamic amenorrhoea (HA), thyroid issues, primary ovarian insufficiency and gut health concerns such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
For the gents, she helps support optimal sperm and fertility health using research-based lifestyle changes, which can really transform sperm results in a matter of months, inside The Dietologist's one-on-one coaching programs.
If you're thinking about your current or future fertility and wanting to take control of the aspects you can change like your diet (unlike your age or medical history) then you're in the right place. Stefanie can help optimise your fertility and reproductive health, and support your chances of conceiving!
